TRINITY was formed in 2007 when Yianna, then only 15, met with Melbourne-based independent record label PLW Entertainment. Her singing and dance training stretched back to when she was just 3 years old, a strong foundation for an all girl group. Stephanie, a childhood friend and long-time dance partner of Yianna's and Sydney-sider, Sammy, complete the trio, who through the marvels of Facebook, found her way to the group. This year 'Trinity & PLW Entertainment announced a global partnership with US pop superstar 'Jason Derulo' starting with a cameo in Jason Derulo's clip "What If", Trinity also recently supported Jason Derulo on his first world wide tour". Of Trinity, Jason Derulo says "Watch Trinity take over the world"
Want to know about the showcase? Kitana, one of our Soundcheck 2005
finalists had a fantastic time. Here she is in her own words:
SHOWTIME:
WOW.... Packed house to 1000 people in the National Melbourne Theatre and I am
PUMPED!..... I can not believe this but honestly I can say for the first time
ever performing in front of the public I have ZERO Nerves and I am so excited
to be here and be sharing this with so many great artists around me. It feels
almost like a massive Jam Session with friends. I warmed up with Coby and I
jamming in the green room and singing Oasis.... Wonderwall and a cuddle for
good luck!.... I was 4th on and to a great intro from the Host
(a former Australian Pop Star Winner) mentioning my public choice #1 vote, I
walked out to a cheering audience. Melbourne Audiences are amazing. They just
love live music! So unlike what I am used to here on the coast. I am sure so
many of them were there to cheer on fellow contestants, but they also
encouraged and celebrated in each acts talents.

I nailed Something More like I have never done before!... ... ... feeling it on
a different level as I truly sang it to every person in the theatre. The sound
was great, foldback... perfect and it felt like I imagined it to feel... ...
AMAZING! I love to perform live...it's euphoric.
Did I mention that ALICE COOPER played about 500 metres up the road on the same
night? I'd have gone.... but sorry Alice hahahahha heheeh hahaha!... Prior engagement!
Each act followed and at intermission set 1 swapped with set 2 and we all got
to sit together and watch the other set of Artists perform live to the Loving
audience. It was something to watch and experience. I can honestly say from
my heart that the 15 Artist's that played that night all bought something
different and original to the show and was better then watching any Idol
or X Factor Show I have seen within Australia. It was such an honour
to be a part of it.
We were all bought back to the stage where the panel of 5 judges: Alex
Spektor - Composer/Director - Innovative Records, Paul Wiltshire -
Writer/Producer - PLW Records, Mike Brady - Writer/Producer - Brady Works,
Mark Bolton - General Manager, MGM Distribution, Jack Strom (Vanessa Amorosi
Manager and A & R Consultant for Delta Goodrem's album Innocent Eyes). All
came to the stage and congratulated us all. It was a lovely feeling to have
them all turn to us collectively and clap us for our exceptional performances
and thank us for proving, live music is alive and well in Australia. LaVore
were announced the out right winners to an amazing rush of the stage by all
of their friends in the audience that had turned out to support them. They
were incredibly excited and rightfully so...I am really happy for them. They
are a band of 5 young 15 year olds, female front singer that hail from St Kilda,
where the competition was held. I am sure they will go on to do great things and
build a great music future for themselves. I was very happy to have 2 of the
Judges approach me backstage and ask for demo and contact info as well.
So many of us after the event exchanged numbers and cd's and I feel so lucky
to be given the opportunity to be able to have met and played along side of
so many of them. As I have said to everyone that knows me well enough... ... I
have felt this competition was a great exposure avenue for me to better get out
there and make a name for myself as a songwriter and further my chances of
fulfilling my dreams in that realm be it here in Australia or Overseas. In the
process I got to meet some amazing artists from around the country, talk to
music industry A & R and walked away with the 2005 Public Choice Award and an
experience I would not have missed for the world...not even for FLOODS!
So here is to the future! " Cheers "
Peace and Love
Kitana
