I have always received a positive response from "What Do You Want". Having played it at numerous gigs, I have found the audience singing along during the chorus. It was a difficult relationship that resulted in one of my most popular and favorite songs.
I was enrolled at the Yamaha School of Music at the age of 5 to learn the electronic organ. Soon after advancing to the acoustic guitar and percussion yet majoring in keyboards and vocals.
I entered the Australian Music Examination Board Program (AMEB) at 12 years of age and had accomplished teachers grading by 17, whilst completing my Seniors Certificate at Clontarf Beach High School in Queensland majoring in Music, Theatre and English.
During my childhood and teenage years, I regularly participated in eisteddfods and Yamaha festivals always achieving first place.
I've been songwriting since starting AMEB and to this date have written over 100 compositions with lyrics evolving from life experiences.
My main music influences have been from the Rock/Pop genre such as Jon Bon Jovi, Richard Marx, Silverchair and Garbage.
I have been a part of numerous cover bands and original outfits, excluding my own solo appearances with performances from pubs to high-class restaurant venues and piano lounges. I have also done paid session work as a keyboardist and backing vocalist.
Having grown up in Redcliffe, Qld, I felt the opportunities to develop a music career were limited, so I moved to Melbourne in 2000 and have since continued to develop my songwriting skills and improve my vocal abilities through private tuition with Ciconne Speech Level Singing School.
